11. Sweetheart Tree Tudor Rose

Stitched on 32 count Light Mocha linen.
I substituted plain DMCfor the border and used DMC throughout.
The beads and charm were supplied with the chart.

I had stitched the centre last (as instructed) and noticed that it was quite raised where the eyelets had pulled the fabric so decided to make a stuffed ornie.

With the intended backing fabric:

All finished:

And hanging in place:

The chart was a gift from Vickie and will now be travelling on to Gillie as a prize for leaving my 7000th comment a while back.

10. Joan Elliott February Cherub

This is the February design in the Joan Elliott Diary which was the cover gift with World of Cross Stitching magazine in 2013.

I stitched this design on 28 count evenweave which I dyed with fruit tea.  It smells lovely when you stitch on it!

I used the recommended DMC except for some of the reds which weren't quite right.  I also changed the backstitch on the wings to grey.  There was a heart border but I left that off.

Mounted for my scrapbook:

09. Lizzie*Kate Autumn Sampler Snippet

I stitched this over one on 28 count blue evenweave using most of the recommended DMC conversion.
The original design had a leaf button but I used a pumpkin instead.
I also had a cunning plan to avoid stitching all that green hill.
I coloured it in using a fabric pen!
I did the same on the Spring design and it looks great, as well as saving a lot of time.

I've scrapbooked the finish, just mounting it on two squares of coloured card along with a Knotted Tree design from the 2012 JCS Hallowe'en Ornie mag.
There is a companion to that which I will mount with these two once I have stitched it.

I also added some metallic leaf stickers:

05. Stitching Out Stigma ASD Acronyms

This is a piece I designed and stitched for the Stitching Out Stigma project.
The premise is that although the child is surrounded by all the acronyms relating to being autistic, he is jumping for joy out of them.  It almost looks like he is throwing them in the air.
I stitched this in a rainbow of colours because autism is a spectrum, like the rainbow.

Here is the full list of what the acronyms stand for (how many did you know already?)

03. Madame Chantilly On the Beach

On the Beach by Madame Chantilly
Stitched on Kynance evenweave by Sparklies

The fabric is especially dyed by Kate from Sparklies.  I made several colour changes, the blues are 798/799/800, the starfish are 950 and the shell is 842.  The dark tips to the seagulls are 3799, the charted black was just too harsh.  Albert is my cousin's baby.

51. Joan Elliott Green Goddess

Stitching information:
Fabric - 32 count Murano Sunlit Heath by Crafty Kitten
Threads - as charted in DMC and Kreinik
Beads - Mill Hill as charted
Changes - I smoothed her jawline as my Mum prefers that to the "stepped" look.  I left off the large square border as we preferred her as a circle.
Chart - originally in the Ultimate JE Collection and now available as a chart from Joan Elliott or her suppliers (JE039)
Trivia Fact - the fabric was a Ltd Edition which Dawn decided to add to the collection after I kept asking for pieces of it.  She named it after part of my address.

50. A Mon Ami Pierre Noel Blanc

Stitched on 32 count Millenium Blue Belfast linen.
Using DMC Blanc.
I changed the greens so they would show up better against the blue fabric.

I started this in December 2013 and worked on it each evening for the short time the Small Boy was in the bath.  Some evenings I barely managed half a length of thread, others I stitched two lengths!
