09. Mill Hill Daffodil Egg

I was given just the chart from this beaded kit so used the DMC conversion to stitch it on 18 count yellow aida.

I finished it as part of the trim for Satsuma Street's Nest Egg

08. Satsuma Street Nest Egg

Satsuma Street - Nest Egg
stitched on 32 count linen Marie's Daffodil by Chromatic Alchemy
I used the recommended colours but backstitched round the goose and the eggs to make them stand out against the lighter fabric.

Finished in a box frame trimmed with a felt border from an Easter basket and a Mill Hill design called Daffodil Egg.

02. Creative Workshops by Hetti Temperature SAL

Temperature SAL from Creative Workshops from Hetti

Stitched on 22 count hardanger

Each temperature was allocated a DMC colour with purple being below zero Celsius, blue and greens for the cooler days of Winter moving into yellows and oranges for Summer with the red being a mini heatwave we had, then back through yellow and green for the close of the year. You "read" the design from the centre spiralling outwards.

The little white beads represent days when we had snow.

01. Rosewood Manor Festive Quaker Tree

Rosewood Manor - Festive Quaker Tree
from Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornament Special 2009
stitched over one on 32 count Blue Hydrangea opalescent from Crafty Kitten

This looks completely different to the model in the magazine.  I decided to use shades of blue in the 790s-800s plus B5200.  The white does show up much better in real life.

23. Autumn Tree of Stitches

Autumn Tree - a freebie on one of the old Yahoo groups
I used DMC 51 to stitch all the speciality stitches.
It's a lovely mixture of yellow, orange and red.
The fabric is a plain pale green evenweave. Prettier than the photo suggests!
