Primitive Needle By the Light of the Moon

This was stitched as part of a FB tribute SAL to the designer Lisa Roswell who passed away in 2011.

I used various DMC and a Stef Francis variegated for the border.
The owl, basket and mushroom are all tweeded rather than variegated.

Stitched on 28 count Burnt Orange Jazlyn evenweave.
The frame is a plain raw pine coloured with black marker pen.

Santa Silhouette

This is from WOCS Magazine.

I stitched it on navy 14 count aida using B5200 DMC and beads for the moon.

I googled "rooftop silhouette" then traced this one onto black card and carefully cut it out.

Added red metallic reins and a red bead for Rudolph's nose!
