This is the July design in the Joan Elliott Diary which was the cover gift with World of Cross Stitching magazine in 2013.

Stitched on 28 count Jazlyn in Peacock from Crafty Kitten.

I used the charted DMC but substituted beads in her necklace and for the bubbles.

I couldn't find a suitable backing fabric so I finger-pressed the edges and whip stitched them together.

Then I used bugle beads to cover the join.

I used the recommended Crescent Colours except for:

Lettuce Leaf which is a bright green and was supposed to be the lighter colour in the M.  

Instead I blended DMC 927 and 928.  

DMC Blanc for the wings instead of Cloud

DMC 954 for the skin instead of Cobbled Peach

DMC 356 for the backstitch on the skin

Kreinik 014 for the dangling sparklies
